Directional drill – Penrith
Problem: With the construction of a new block of units, a 100mm fire service was required for the building. However, the water main was on the other side of a very busy road in Penrith.
Solution: Using a directional drill, we bored a hole underneath the road, and between other existing services, such as the 50mm nylon gas main in the picture above. We were then able to insert the new 125mm Poly fire service pipe under the road, with no disruption to traffic and at a fraction of the cost of digging up the road.
